Lives and works Manila, Philippines

Robert Langenegger sprung onto the Filipino art scene when he exhibited a baby fetus that he had found in the trash on the streets of Manila. Since then Langenegger has already become an icon in the history of Philippine art. Creating outrageously heavily laden paintings that deal with the social deformities from his home city Manila. Rough, gritty and the hardest of hard-core imagery such as nurses dressed like Mary giving Jesus an anal fisting, magic mushroom cities and fat Metro Manila police officers giving blow jobs to minors. Langenegger has participated in various solo and group exhibitions in Manila the Asia region and France. Exhibitions include his solo exhibition Execution of Elegance at Finale Art File, Manila 2009. A group exhibition How’s my painting Tel: +63 9208407277 at MOP Projects, Sydney 2009. Langenegger was also a Finalist in the 2008 Sovereign Asian Art Prize.
