Jacopo Crivelli Visconti is a critic and curator. Born in Naples, he is based in São Paulo since 2001, and was until recently Curator at the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, where he curated, among other exhibitions, the Brazilian Pavilion the 52a Biennale di Venezia (Italy, 2007). Recent and upcoming projects as an independent curator of contemporary art include: Arco Solo Projects (Madrid, 2009 and 2010); Allan McCollum – Works 1980-2008 – a selection (São Paulo, 2009); Da pureza ao enigma – Esculturas de Saint Clair Cemin (São Paulo, 2009); Luz ao Sul (Valencia, Spain, 2007). His texts and essays appeared on several contemporary art, architecture and design magazines, in addition to exhibition catalogues and artists’ monographs. He wrote extensively on both Brazilian and international artists.
